he first time I ever had cipollini onions was the year we did a whole MSL Thanksgiving dinner. I was in charge of some of the side dishes and so I was introduced to the lovely little cipollini. Normally, I'm not one to wax poetic about onions. They have their place but they're not a star on their own. These were. Pardon the pun, but they were gobbled up. Every last one of them. This is not that recipe. When I find it again, I'll definitely add it. In the meantime, this dish sounded really really good. It's autumn after all, and my thoughts are turning to onions and mushrooms and other earthy delights.
